Coaching Agreement and Background Information

AS YOUR COACH I PLEDGE:
All information provided by you (the client) will be kept strictly confidential. As your coach, I will hold you accountable to your goals and commitments and will listen without judgement or criticism. I will help you identify and better utilise your strengths, skills and talents to the best of my ability. I will be honest and straightforward in all my communications with you during all coaching sessions and correspondence. It is my personal goal to provide each client with an extraordinary and rewarding experience. Life coaching is NOT counselling, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, nor am I a provider of any mental health services. A life coach does not focus on emotional/mental health issues. I, the coach, Linda Reid, do not make any guarantee or warranty as to results that may be achieved or as to the consequences of any actions taken or not taken by client.
AS THE CLIENT I ACKNOWLEDGE:
I am responsible for my thoughts, feelings and actions and am therefore responsible for the quality of results that I obtain from my coaching sessions. I acknowledge that coaching results are not guaranteed, but are dependent upon my commitment to the process and the actions I take as a result.
I am committed to making significant changes in my life in the areas and issues that I raise during the sessions. I agree to come to each session on time and prepared to the best of my ability. I will communicate my needs, be honest and open and am prepared to work through any issues that may arise in order to achieve the goals and outcomes I desire. I accept full /sole responsibility and accountability for the actions I take or don’t take, results achieved and any consequences that follow.
Billing and Payment.
Payment is made in advance for each month of coaching. Fees are inclusive of GST. It is vital that the client is fully invested in the process and that means payment in full and in advance. Lack of commitment means lack of results.
Cancelling or Rescheduling appointments:
Sometimes it is necessary to cancel or postpone an appointment. My time is valuable, as is yours. I request a minimum of 24 hours notice in order to reschedule a session. In the event that less than 24 hours notice is provided or the client fails to make a previously agreed appointment, I will treat the session as though it has taken place and it will not be carried forward. If I need to reschedule I will give you the same level of courtesy - 24 hours advanced notice or a free extra session.
If you are late for a session I reserve the right to finish the session at the previously agreed time.
Coaching/ hypnotherapy commitment:
Whilst there is no obligation for any pre-determined number of coaching/ hypnotherapy hours, I recommend a minimum of 8 sessions initially as this provides consistency and continuity and gives you time to experience the successes that coaching/ hypnotherapy adds to your life.
The client understands that life coaching is not to be used in lieu of professional advice. The client will seek professional guidance for legal, medical, financial, business, mental health, or other matters with the appropriate/credentialed provider. All decisions in these areas are exclusively the responsibility of the client.
Life coaching is a relationship designed to facilitate the creation and development of personal/ professional goals, and to develop a plan for achieving those goals. In coaching the client sets the agenda and is the expert in his/her own life to bring about desired change. Success is based upon the client’s willingness to take smart risks and try new approaches. The client understands that the coach is not hired to tell him/her what to do, rather partnering in brainstorming ideas and possibilities. The relationship between coach and client is designed to be more direct and challenging. The client can be assured the coach will be honest and straightforward, asking powerful questions to create expanded possibilities and awareness.
